Weight and See started as a drop-in Aerobics Class in September 2004 for the ‘morning mothers' followed by (good!) coffee and a chat on health and fitness based on articles Cat brought into the class. Clients loved this initiative, and it began to take on a more structured form with a distinct ‘loop' of subjects up for discussion with printouts given to the class relating to the issue in hand.

As this evolved, themes became more researched and involved and invaluable feedback was gained from the class, which in turn added richly to the content itself.

Cat also started to give ‘tasters' of all the different exercise disciplines she has taught, but at easy entry level. The warm up is always roughly the same but then diversifies into Aerobics, Freestyle Pilates, Tabata, Weights work, Stretching, Circuits, Kick-fit etc. The idea being that if one loves weights, say – they'll join a gym, or seek out a local Pilates Class, say.

It is now a 10-week (Pre-Booked) course, endorsed by the Director of Fitness Wales, in which our clients build a 140+ page portfolio over the weeks and help each other in a protected, confidential environment. It is totally pro-active with Quizzes, teamwork, ‘homework' (all good fun!), studying case histories,with practical sessions in the kitchen.

There are tough weeks (no clues here!), but even if we struggle, we keep a log of why we struggle. Those who succeed pass on their tips to each other and we'll in turn use them on future courses.

You'll learn so much from each other and from W & S even if you're not technically overweight. It is 'wellness' we seek!

Since designing this Course, Cat  has also qualified as a Life Coach which gives her additional skills in reaching Goals, Motivation and Periodisation (working within time frames). She is now 'raring to go' as the pschological benefits are obviousy a massive boost for her clients here. She has also studied Bio typing and can't wait to add this in to the potent mix!

Cat is currently arranging to make this entire course into an e-book with DVD's/online video to accompany this - it maytake a little more time but please watch this space!!
