Diary of a Personal Trainer week 26

Wow have I been a naughty girl – nothing here for weeks. Been busy in real life so not much time; same old same old!!Which Road?

In a way this is the reason recent events have taken place. If you get frustrated you’ll reach out.

I love what I do, but as I get older (!), I am becoming aware of the sense I am on a treadmill in life with no way of getting off for a breather.

And it does not matter what I do in terms of courses, adding to my career portfolio, giving out more and more ideas, I admit I get frustrated that the only times I increase my income is when I have flogged my heart out, spinning all day until I can work no more.

A lot has gone right recently – I’m training really well with my sports and feeling long, strong and lean in muscle (not tight and ‘bound’ as one can feel). My back is still stiff and sore but I’m used to that! (another story – diagnosis arthritis, drag).
I’ve given up all sugar as a gym challenge with/to some of the girls – I didn’t really need to (apart from knowing all the best local flap jack sources), but even so can notice the difference. No dips in the afternoon (don’t go hungry is the key). And the girls!!! One lady in particular has made huge changes to her life and she was, she’ll admit, quite addicted to the white stuff – I’m so proud of her.
I’m really strict in my red wine intake and frequency too – weekends only and no more that 6 units with barely a blip since July – and again some of the members (men and women have also achieved great things here!) God where is the brasso for all our halos!!

There is still the over ridding, nagging thought that I need to up my game before I retire. RETIRE!! Hark at me.
The trouble is, at 46, (despite the fact I intend to keep going until I do zimmer frame classes), I am aware of the increasingly loud ticking of that very big clock over there!

There is a web site I visit for PT’s. Full of the best across the world – I say the best, and I’m sure they are. What they all seem to be very good at especially, is making shed loads. There is a breed of trainer out there folks who are I.T technically over and beyond most of us at the present time. That’s not to say I don’t feel I can get into some of the action at some stage. I only wrote this last time remember!?

Anyway, recently there has been the introduction of a ‘mastermind’ session each week  whereby a member is chosen; they then put forward their most pressing concern in business.

Guess who was no.3!!

So I put my question forward – how can I get my ‘’Weight and See’’ face to face course transformed into an online product?

Of course you are opening yourself, and your life up for criticism, (the web site), and there were some comments I need to address - mostly to put less on each page, although the main man, big respect for, Dax (god of Personal Training, especially at £160 per hour!), ‘loved what I’ve tried to do to the site and how much information I’ve tried to out in there’.
There were some recommendations on books/audios to try, one in particular which would enables one to work on  your business rather than in it all the time. I got these today and will start reading.
There were many tips to try technically which I will probably need help on. It seems they could sense my inferiority to their huge collective success with their super polished sites with on line e zines, e programmes, e books, e audios et al which was reflected in the many reassurances for my positives – many of which should stand me in good stead for launching an on line version of ‘Weight and See’ (well since you ask, my creativity, success with the gym and business to date, and the actual site too!) This Road

So yes the best advice from an incredible group of people which has given me the tools to research my ideas fully, update the site to attract my kind of client (although I would argue it has done that pretty well already – and I actually like the ‘organic’ edge to it. (Dax deemed it old fashioned!) I recognise the need to create another one for the W & S project though.
I’ve already set up an online social site (free), which will be fab for Weight & See clients.
Many excellent ideas on marketing and to give it a launch date. More ideas on follow on products/seminars/coaching/books, making videos on you tube, blog talk radio,Facebook. Hell, thing is there are so many things to do I can see me reaching retirement before I reap any rewards at all!!
PS. Can you help me out with this:
